October 23, 2007    An Important Announcement

SUMMARY
- FRC, Morpheus and Storybook are partnering to build/renovate a new
centre for community arts
- a $2 surcharge will be added to all FRC tickets beginning with Camelot sales

Fellow patrons of the arts,

As you may be aware, Front Row Centre Players, along with Morpheus
Theatre, Storybook Theatre and other theatre and dance groups,
currently rehearses and operates out of the Community Arts Centre in
the Currie Barracks. The Community Arts Centre of today was created
and renovated out of a partnership between Front Row Centre, Morpheus
Theatre and Storybook Theatre in 2001.

The lease on this building will expire in 2009 or 2010 and the
building is scheduled to be demolished at that time. If we do not
take immediate action, we will be relegated to rehearsing in Church
basements and the like once again. To avoid that fate we have again
taken up partnership with Morpheus and Storybook to acquire, build
and/or renovate a new centre for community arts

This is a huge commitment of time and money and we as a partnership
have opted to take several different options to try achieve the
financial commitments:

- We will begin a fundraising campaign that you will see the effects
of at our shows.
- We will be approaching all levels of government for funding
assistance in our project.

Most importantly for all of you, to help us achieve our targets we
have, together with our partners Morpheus Theatre and Storybook
Theatre, added a $2 surcharge to all ticket sales beginning with our
January production of Camelot.

This $2 will go entirely towards a capital fund for the new centre for
community arts.

Without a new space, we will not be able to create shows like we do
today, and I hope that you will forgive us this small increase to help
ensure our future in the community.

Effective immediately, individual ticket sales for Camelot and the
Wizard of Oz will be as follows:
Adult: $21.75
Student/Senior $18.75
Special Offers:
"12 Buck Tuesday", All Tuesday performances only $12
"Mature Matinees", All matinee performances, Seniors only $15
These prices include GST, the $2 rehearsal space surcharge and the
$1.75 Pumphouse Fee.
A group discount of $2 per ticket is available for groups of 10 or more.

Those who have already purchased season tickets will not be affected,
and tickets for our November production of Nine will also not be
affected.

Stay tuned for more information on this exciting project.

Thank for your continuing support. If you have any concerns, comments
or questions, please contact me directly at
president@frontrowcentre.ca, or leave a message at (403) 246-8505.

Yours sincerely,

About the Show:
Camelot – a fairy tale made real for Adults! A nervous King Arthur tries to cajole Merlyn, his teacher, to tell him about Guenevere the future Queen. Merlyn knows the future, as he lives from the future into the present. He grows younger instead of aging. Upon her arrival Guenevere dodges the awaiting crowds and hides as she sings The Simple Joys of Maidenhood. Arthur and Guenevere accidentally meet in the forest and are delighted to find they are charmed with each other. The wonderfully placid Camelot, where royal decree sets the tone, becomes the set for a story of love and chivalry. Especially when Guenevere meets Lancelot!
