About the Show

Summer lovin', had me a blast!

Dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and flashback to the 1950s with Rydell High's senior class of 1959 in the original high school musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances through the songs you know and love, including "You're The One That I Want", "Grease Is The Word", "Summer Nights", "Hopelessly Devoted To You", "Sandy", "Greased Lightnin’" and many more.

A special small-scale presentation at The Plaza Theatre in Kensington to celebrate FRC's 30th Anniversary that will also include the announcement of our 2019-2020 Season!

And remember GREASE is the word…

Run Dates:

March 1st - 2nd, 2019, The Plaza in Kensington

PLEASE NOTE: For the week prior to opening (beginning Sunday February 24th), please expect a rehearsal or other activity on each day.

Rehearsals will begin November 17th. Rehearsals will be approximately two times a week. A full schedule will be available at auditions.

Roles Available

Name Gender Vocal Range Description
Danny M Leader of the Burger Palace Boys. Confident with an air of cool easy-going charm.
San F New to Rydell High. Sweet, wholesome, and naive, like Sandra Dee of the "Gidget" movie.
Rizzo F Leader of the Pink Ladies. She is tough, sarcastic, and outspoken but vulnerable.
French F A good-natured dreamer. Fussy about her appearance, especially her hair. Can't wait to graduate high school so she can be a beautician.
Marty F Considered the "beauty" of the Pink Ladies. Appears older than the other girls and tries to act sophisticated.
Jan F A compulsive eater. Loud and pushy with the girls but shy around the guys.
Kenickie M Second in command of the Burger Palace Boys. Tough and surly, avoids any sign of softness. Has an off-beat sense of humour.
Doody M Youngest of the guys and has a hero-worshiping attitude towards the others. Boyish with a disarming smile. Also plays the guitar - an asset but not a requirement for the role.
Roger M The "anything for a laugh" stocky type. Full of mischief, half-baked schemes and ideas.
Sonny M A braggart and wheeler-dealer who thinks he's a real lady-killer.
Patty F An All-American cheerleader. Aggressive and sure of herself, given to bursts of disconcerting enthusiasm.
Cha-Cha F A blind date. Takes pride in being "the best dancer at St. Bernadette's".
Eugene M The class valedictorian. A physically awkward apple polisher. I smug but gullible.
Vince Fontaine M A typical "teen audience" radio DJ. Slick, egotistical, and fast-talking. Veteran "greaser"
Johnny Casino M A "greaser" student at Rydell who leads a rock 'n' roll band and likes to think of himself as a real rock 'n' roll idol.
Teen Angel M Falsetto-voiced singer who would have caused girls to scream and riot back in 1958.
Miss. Lynch F An English teacher.
